Bubber Machine Tools
BMT is a family owned business run by my father.
Since I was a child, I have been visiting the factory and have always been fascinated with the way machines work and parts are made. Over the years I have assembled parts, worked a bit on the CNC machines and played with CAD software.
My father asked me to be a part of the design and manufacturing process of a Servo based Can Seaming Machine and a Triple Drum Seamer, which I eagerly accepted.
I was a part of the main team and played a role in designing and manufacturing the machines.
I worked closely with a talented 3D mechanical designer, learning about designing parts and making them with CNC machines for precise cutting.
In the engineering department, I focused on manufacturing and making sure all the parts fit together well.
I also helped assemble the machines on the shop floor and took part in identifying improvements and addressing challenges in the design.
The machines were a success and several machines have already been delivered to customers. A design patent has been filed for the Servo Seaming machine which is currently pending.
